Job Title: Physical Therapy / Fitness Center Tech | 15 hours expected, flexible

Reports to: Director of Ability Fitness Center

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Certification/License: none required

Summary: Ability Fitness Center is a gym for people with disabilities. We are a therapeutic fitness and wellness center with expert clinicians and specialized equipment providing access to innovative, customized, and activity-based interventions that increase functional ability for individuals with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy, balance disorders, developmental disabilities, and other neurologic conditions.

Job Title: Part time Physical Therapist | 10-12 hours expected, flexible

Reports to: Director of Ability Fitness Center

Education: Degree in Physical Therapy

Certification/License: VA Physical Therapy License (through the VA Department of Health Professions)

Job Title: Program Director

Reports to: The Director of The Aurora School

Education: Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology or Special Education

Certification/License: BCBA or BCaBA, recommended; VA License as Behavior Analysis or Assistant Behavior Analysis (through the VA Department of Medicine).

Summary: Providing leadership and organizational management in the following areas: student educational programming; behavior interventions; staff development; classroom management; and parent trainings. The Aurora School is a 12-month day program that provides a collaborative and innovative learning environment for students for students 5-22 years of ages with Autism and other developmental abilities.

Job Title: ABA Instructor/Special Education Teacher

Reports to: Support Staff assigned to his or her lead student, the Program Director, and the Director of The Aurora School

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, education, speech, or other related field preferred and Special Education Teacher License.

Summary: Provide instruction that is based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in Verbal Behavior. Provide Special Education oversight of IEP development and implementation. The Aurora School is a 12-month day program that provides a collaborative and innovative learning environment for students for students 5-22 years of ages with Autism and other developmental abilities.
