Topic“The ABC’s of IEPs for Parents of Students with Dyslexia & Other Specific Learning Disabilities” LCPS says, “dyslexia!” If your child has dyslexia or other specific learning disabilities, you may be wondering how these needs are appropriately captured through the IEP process in Loudoun County Public Schools. In this session, participants will increase their understanding of the components of an Individualized Education Program (IEP) in alignment with Virginia regulations. Resources will be shared to help support the needs of students and families. Presenters: Megan Wagner, Special Education Supervisor Jennifer Sassano, Supervisor of Instructional Facilitators for Specialized Reading.

ALLY Advocacy Center has partnered with Decoding Dyslexia and will be cohosting monthly meetings on the 3rd Wednesday evening of the month in ALLY Advocacy Center from 7pm-9pm.

WHAT:   Monthly series of speakers and discussion, aiming to raise dyslexia awareness and   empower families to support their   children with dyslexia.
